Comparison of Scheimpflug Derived Biomechanical and Tomographical Indices to Detect Corneal Ectasia - A Cross Sectional Study

Objective: To compare Corvis ST (Oculus Wetzlar, Germany) and Pentacam (Oculus) derived indices to detect normal cornea, keratoconus for mefruste keratoconus.
 Study Design: Comparative cross sectional study.
 Place Duration of Study: Armed Forces Institute Ophthalmology (AFIO), Rawalpindi, from Feb Jul 2019.
 Methodology: Following strict inclusion criteria 90 patients were enrolled that divided into 3 equal groups normal, Keratoconus Formefruste kertoconus. One eye the patient was selected underwent ophthalmic examination followed by assessment (Oculus). Classification analysis between formefruste evaluated using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves. The area under ROC curve (AUC) compared.
 Results: Several corneal response parameters generated St statistically significant (p-value <0.05) in group. Area values comparison 0.84(SPA1), 0.864 (BAD-D), 0.865 (PRFI), 0.92 (CBI), 0.96 (TBI). Among combined TBI showed increase sensitivity 98.3 % 94.7% specificity keratoconus. AUC value control 0.75 (SPA1), 0.81 0.82 0.91 (TBI) with 94% 90% Conclusion: Our study concluded among demonstrated greater precision thus aiding augmenting recent technology.
